I had one of the same year and it was a beauty. The stock had grime on it and a few dings but the bore was excellent and a very accurate shooter.

Wow, 2 digit serial number? THAT IS VERY LUCKY. I remember back in 2005 when $200.00 was a "good price for an M96." I've paid over $1000.00 for M96's twice, but one of those is a sniper.
